  • Amber Cook

    Amber Cook, Downtown Director

    Amber has been involved with the Leduc Downtown Business Association membership since 2019, as an owner of The Light House Cowork she became involved in the Leduc Downtown Business Assocation immediately and joined the board in 2020. As a resident of Leduc for over 30 years, Amber is passionate about the community and loves the downtown community. She has gained so many incredible connections and friendships with many business owners and people from the region. Amber is passionate about helping others build their dreams through business; she’s built her businesses and career around helping others thrive. Saying that - being part of the LDBA board and now Director has been a natural fit to this passion. To be able to advocate in various ways (marketing, events, member relations, ....) for all LDBA members in order to help them succeed is her true goal.

  • Kristin Bowles, Marketing + CommunicationsCoordinator

    Kristin has been working with the Leduc Downtown Business Association as the event and marketing coordinator since the summer of 2022. Kristin’s role is to promote our local businesses through our social media and online presence. She also helps with member communications and you’ll often find her taking photos throughout the Downtown District for social media and then behind the computer planning posts, writing blog posts, updating the website, and drafting emails.

  • Brenda Smith-Goddu, Chair

    2024 - 2026 Term

    Owner-operator of Envision Medical Spa Inc., Brenda has been a long time active member of the Downtown Business Association, and is serving her third term on the Board of Directors. She is very passionate about the Downtown District and loves the work that has been accomplished. She especially looks forward to moving forward with our Strategic Plan. She sees this as an exciting time for all of us, as we move forward and work together for our community.

  • Melissa Lenos, Vice Chair

    2024 - 2026 Term

    Being involved in the local community is a passion for Melissa and she previously served as Vice-Treasurer before taking on her current role. As the Owner of King Business Solutions Inc, Melissa’s love for numbers began started when she was very young - working with her parents to complete GST returns for their custom cabinet business. During COVID Melissa has been actively involved advocating for the businesses and individuals in our downtown. But when she’s not working, she loves to travel! You might catch her while she’s gallivanting in Holland or in Arizona playing golf.

    Alex Coenen, Treasurer

    2023 - 2025 Term

    Alex is Branch Manager at ATB, located in the heart of Leduc’s Downtown District. Being a current member, he’s passionate about seeing fellow local businesses thrive and is looking forward to playing a bigger role in our community.

  • Jana Hamilton, Secretary

    2023 - 2025 Term

    Jana is the owner of Connectivity Dance Ltd, Jana opened in Downtown Leduc in 2012 with the goal of connecting with the community and teaching students. To foster her goal of connecting with the Leduc community, she encourages students to participate in community events by volunteering, providing entertainment and activities. Apart from day to day business operations, Jana is continually involved in event coordinating and volunteers in local schools through the Jump Rope for Heart Program and is a director on various boards. Jana is looking forward to watching the Downtown community flourish, building partnerships and promoting the LDBA as a whole.

    Jannelle Szott

    2023 - 2025 Term

    Jannelle is the owner of Days with Gray and started her business over 8 years ago in the hope of getting some of her creative energy out, meeting some new people, and bringing in a few bucks to help her family. She values women in business and makes connections in the community to offer support and business opportunities. She looks forward to making many more friends and contributing her voice in her position on our board.

  • Shannon Shier

    2023 - 2025 Term

    Shannon recently moved from Wetaskiwin to Leduc and is looking forward to meeting people and getting to know the community of Leduc better by volunteering with the board. She has experience working with multiple boards and has worked on many projects and initiatives. With her experience and current position in the non-profit sector, she understands the commitment required to serve and will be a great addition to the board.

  • Councillor Ryan Pollard,

    Councillor Ryan Pollard, Appointed Council Liaison

    Ryan is the Appointed Director from the City of Leduc and Councillor Liaison.

    Ryan Pollard has lived in Leduc since 2011. Ryan is originally from Prince Edward Island where he attended the University of Prince Edward Island and the University of New Brunswick. He was called to the PEI bar in 2006. He was a lawyer in private practice before coming to Alberta to and becoming a prosecutor. He was called to the bar of Alberta in 2009, and has prosecuted in communities throughout Alberta.

    Ryan’s volunteer experience includes various community organizations, and especially youth groups. This includes Scouts Canada, Royal Canadian Air Cadets, and serving on the Family and Community Support Services advisory board.

  • Jennifer Garries, Non-Voting Director

    Jennifer is the CEO of the Leduc, Nisku, Wetaskiwin Regional Chamber of Commerce and sits on our board as a non-voting director as the Chamber representative.

    Carley Graham, Non-Voting Director

    Carley is the Economic Development Officer from the City of Leduc and sits on our board as a Non-Voting Director in the “Regional Economic Development Organizations” representative.
